Namibia’s Independence Day, which Happened on March 21, 1990, marked a very important moment in the country’s history. After approximately 75 years of being under South African control, Namibia emerged as the world’s newest independent nation. The ceremony took place at Windhoek’s sports stadium, where the South African flag was lowered, making way for Namibia’s new flag a vibrant combination of red, blue, green, and gold.
